Domain renew FAQ's

Q01. How will I know when my domain name registration is looking for renewal?
Ans. You will get a email before 45 - 60 days (depends upon your registrar setting). Click on the renew link available in your email and follow the procedure.

Q02. How much it will cost?
Ans .  Mostly it is same as the last year charges but it may change if you have bought your last domain in promotional offer then you will have to pay more. For example if you have bought a .us or .in domain in promotional offer like in $2 (Rs. 100) then during renewal the charges will be again flat and you will be charged near $7 - $10 (Rs. 350 to Rs.500).

Q03. How the rates of domain registration are decided?
Ans. The rates are decided by your registrar but they  also have to pay there authorities.

Q04. How do I renew my domains?
Ans. You will get a email where your renew link will be provided click on the link and follow the procedure.

Q05 . What if i don't receive any email or i delete the email ?
Ans. Just contact your registrar or domain booking agent.

Q06. What happens if I don't renew my domains?
Ans. If the domain expires it may still be maintained in the registration database for a 30-day*. You can renew it after 30 days of expiration too.

Q07. Can i renew my Domain before expire date?
Ans. Sure you can and the renewal will be continued from the expiration date example if your domain is expiring on 25 jan 2010 and you renew it on 5 jan 2010 then your next due date will be 25 jan 2011 not 05 jan 2010. so don't wait for last date.

Q08. I have already registered my domain for 2 year but now i want it to 5 more year can i ?
Ans.  as i have already answered in above question the renewal will be continued from the expiration date

Q09. My current registrar is not available .what should i do now?
Ans. That doesn't matter really i the domain is booked on your name or company name and on your email id then surely you will receive renewal email and you can go on.

Q10 . How do i will know who is the owner of the domain?
Ans. Use WHO IS service and it will tell you details of domain name.

Q11. What is WHO IS ?
Ans. This is a free service where you can check who is the owner and other details of Domain name ( some owners may hide there information to be shown to public).

Q13. can anyone else can register my domain if i don't?
Ans.  yes they can if you don't renew your domain name after 30 days of expire date.

Q14. How can i change my domain registrar?
Ans. To change your domain registrar you must bee having secure code number available in your domain registration website.IF you don't have the secure code you can not transfer you domain to any other registrar.
